005 - square boxy bag

Used the boxy bag tutorial from Jess from OklaRoots (queen) with the following modifications:

• Didn't do the optional mesh pocket or fusible fleece on the bottom
• Didn't use SF101 interfacing on the small lining fabric tabs because it didn't seem important
• Used a length of 9" instead of 13.5" because I accidentally cut the bottom piece as a 9"x9" square, and I think an 8" zipper to accomodate that
• For boxing the corners near the end, I cut out 1.5" squares instead of 1.75"

The bluebells is a fat quarter from Loom, yellow is canvas from Firecracker, and the blue lining fabric is from Mom 💖

I am really happy with the topstitching between the two outer fabrics. I'm less happy about the seams and topstitches around the zipper, and one of the lining tabs is a little bit askew, but this is the first thing I've made where I am reasonably satisfied with the overall construction.

Mistakenly shortening the length ended up causing the bag to be, in my opinion, shockingly cute. An appropriate function for an adorable little bag is to store buttons:
